Lorie Walton

Lorie is an Ontario Registered Psychotherapist, Executive Director of Theraplay Canada as well as owner of her own private child psychotherapy agency: Family First Play Therapy Center in Bradford Ontario Canada. Lorie is a Theraplay Therapist Supervisor Trainer, Certified Play Therapist, Supervisor and Training provider and certified Gentle Sleep Coach. Lorie lives and works in Ontario, Canada. She has over 35 years experience working with children and families originally as a teacher of children with special needs and most currently over the last 23 years with children and families who have experienced life challenges including developmental and emotional difficulties, attachment, trauma and loss. Lorie provides supervision and consultation and trainings for Theraplay, Play Therapy and children’s mental health issues for those who work with Canadian children and families.

Patti Sutherland

Patti Sutherland is a school social worker and private therapist in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She has a Masters in Social work and is a Certified Theraplay Practioner and Theraplay Supervisor and a Trainer in training. She has been working in a therapeutic role with children and families for thirty years. Her experiences have included work in First Nations community agencies, the Child Welfare System and the School System. She is also a certified Play Therapist Supervisor with the Canadian Association of Child and Play Therapy. Patti is certified in both the individual and group model of Circle of Security and is a reliable coder for the Strange Situation protocol. Patti has completed level 1 and 2 training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and is in the process of completing her EMDR certification. Currently she is having great fun facilitating Sunshine Circle trainings and leading Sunshine Circles in classrooms.

Hannah Sun-Reid

Hannah Sun-Reid, a Registered Psychotherapist, Certified Play Therapist, Supervisor and Training provider; and a certified Practitioner, Consultant and Trainer in both DDP and Theraplay. Hannah lives and works in Ontario, Canada. Hannah has 30 years experience working with children and families who experience life challenges including developmental and emotional difficulties, trauma and loss. Hannah provides supervision and consultation to therapists and organizations; and conducts training workshops nationally and internationally. Hannah is also an author of children’s books and therapeutic games.

Monique Gougeon

Monique Gougeon, MSW, RSW, CPTS, CTP has a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work and is a Certified Child Therapist and Play Therapist Supervisor with the Canadian Association of Play Therapy. Monique has extensive experience working with children and families in community agencies and has worked for 20+ years in the field of children’s therapy. She is the owner of Alloway Therapy Services in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where she practices alongside her talented colleagues. Monique has special interests in supporting children who have experienced loss, developmental trauma, and attachment disruption. Her passion for Theraplay began in 2000. She is Certified as Theraplay Practitioner and is a Supervisor in Training with Theraplay Canada. She is also certified in Circle of Security Individual and Group models and is trained in EMDR and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. She regularly facilitates trainings and presentations for caregivers and professionals regarding child trauma and attachment disruption

Michelle Wolfe-Miscio

Michelle Wolfe-Miscio, is a Registered Social worker with the OCSWSSW, a Certified Play Therapist Supervisor and Certified Theraplay Therapist, with 20 years of experience in the field. Michelle has spent most of her career providing Play Therapy to children, youth and families in the school system, in homes, in office and community. Michelle provides Play Therapy supervision and is a Supervisor in Training with Theraplay Canada. She has presented at conferences and provided workshops on various play therapy modalities and trained staff in the use of standardized assessment tools.
